What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They help sites remember your preferences and understand how you use the service. Local storage and session storage are similar mechanisms used by modern web apps.

How we use cookies.

• Strictly necessary: keep the site working, for example remembering your light or dark theme. Always on.
• Analytics: none. We do not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, or any other analytics service.
• Advertising: none. We do not run ads, and we do not set advertising or remarketing cookies.

Local storage.

We use browser local storage to remember a single preference: whether you have chosen light or dark mode. That entry stays on your device, is not transmitted anywhere, and is not used to identify you.

The iOS and watchOS app.

The Bubbles app uses no cookies of any kind. It does not embed web views that load third-party scripts.

Managing cookies.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage via settings. Doing so may reset your theme preference. Because we use no tracking or analytics cookies, no consent banner is required for visitors in the EU, UK, or other comparable jurisdictions, but you remain in full control of your browser storage at all times.

Do Not Track.

We honor "Do Not Track" signals where technically feasible. Since we run no tracking, there is nothing for us to disable.
