Bubbles is a step tracking and habit app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Not medical advice.
Information shown in Bubbles, including step goals, daily promises, streaks, milestones, and any educational content on this site or in the app, is for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice from a qualified physician, physiotherapist, dietitian, or other healthcare provider.
Consult your doctor.
Always speak with your physician or qualified healthcare provider before starting, changing, or stopping a walking routine, especially if you have:
- A heart, lung, or circulatory condition.
- Joint, back, or mobility issues, or an injury you are recovering from.
- Pregnancy, recent surgery, or postpartum recovery.
- Diabetes, hypertension, or any chronic illness affected by exercise.
- Concerns about exercising at altitude or in extreme heat or cold.
- Concerns about activity for children, older adults, or anyone with limited mobility.
Individual variation.
A reasonable daily step target varies significantly from person to person, based on age, weight, fitness, health status, climate, and goals. Suggested defaults in Bubbles, such as a 3,000 minimum or a 5,000 target, are general starting points, not a personalized prescription. Set a promise that is appropriate for your body and your day.
Listen to your body.
Stop and seek medical attention if you experience pain, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, dizziness, faintness, or any concerning symptoms during or after walking. Bubbles is meant to make movement gentler and more joyful, not to push you past safe limits. Rest days are healthy; missing a streak is never worth your wellbeing.
Step data accuracy.
Step counts in Bubbles come from Apple HealthKit, which combines data from your iPhone and, if paired, your Apple Watch. These figures are estimates and may be affected by how you carry your device, your walking style, vibrations from vehicles, and other factors. Do not rely on them for medical or research purposes.
Emergencies.
If you think you are having a medical emergency, including chest pain, severe shortness of breath, signs of a stroke, or a serious injury, call your local emergency number immediately. Do not rely on Bubbles.
No warranty.
Reliance on any information provided by Bubbles or our team is at your own risk. Bubbles is provided "as is", and we make no warranty that any goal, suggestion, or feature in the app is appropriate for your specific circumstances.
